Mike is a native of Stone Mountain, Georgia. He graduated from Georgia State University in 1983 with a BBA in accounting. He worked at Arthur Andersen and Company for two years. When he received his C.P.A. certification in 1986 he founded W. Michael Bush, C.P.A. Mike currently lives in the Suwanee area with his wife. He has three children and one grandson. He enjoys flying, scuba diving and the mountains. He practices accounting similar to the way he lives his life - with principal foundations outlined in the Bible. His reputation is one of honesty, integrity and sincerity.

Trevor Gilliam started working at W. Michael Bush, CPA as an Intern in July of 2012. In May of 2013 he graduated from The University of North Georgia with a BBA in accounting, was hired on as a Staff Accountant and one year later he received his CPA certification. In 2017 he became a partner at the firm and now takes satisfaction in assisting clients with multistate tax matters and long-term tax planning and investing. He currently lives in Suwanee, Georgia where he enjoys spending time with his wife and children.

Zach Nolan began working at W. Michael Bush, CPA in June of 2016 after graduating from The University of North Georgia with a BBA in accounting. While working at W. Michael Bush, CPA as a staff accountant he earned his Master of Accountancy with a specialization in Taxation from The University of Georgia in May of 2018. Zach quickly passed all four parts of the CPA exam and officially became a licensed CPA in February of 2019. He was born and raised in Georgia and currently lives with his wife in Flowery Branch, Georgia.

Diane N. Walker is our Office Administrator. She joined the firm in 1991 as a payroll accountant and after 10 years moved to the front office to work more closely with our individual and corporate tax clients. Diane has been an integral part of implementing the standards of our policies and procedures. She is the gateway to the office for all clients and is professional in handling all client matters. Diane is originally from Indiana but calls Georgia her home and lives in the Lawrenceville area with her husband.Diane enjoys cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Karen Bush has been our Payroll Accountant since 2002. She manages all processes for full-service payroll averaging two hundred plus checks each week for a number of our clients. In addition to the preparation of raw data to a finished product for each employee, she executes all payroll tax returns, tax payments and Forms W-2 for nine hundred plus employees every year. She is our subject matter expert on payroll law, garnishment & income withholding order law, and GA human resource law.

Before moving to Georgia in 2001, Karen had a successful career as a bank manager, estate manager and private bookkeeper. She loves the outdoors and the awe-inspiring magnificence of Georgia’s temperate seasons. Karen is a West Palm Beach, Florida native and has one daughter.

Tom Democko holds a BBA with a concentration in Accounting from Georgia State University and has over 30 years of experience in individual, corporate and partnership taxation, as well as experience with administration of pension plans and with qualification and reporting for not-for-profit entities. Tom also has experience in payroll tax compliance, and preparation of financial statements, and resolution of issues with Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities. Tom is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
